Malabrigo madness, indeed

Knitting, Yarn 1 Comment

I should really unsubscribe from almost all mailing lists I’m on, but especially the newsletters from yarn stores and digital scrapbooking stores. Double especially from yarn stores, in fact.  A little over a week ago Blazing Needles sent out an e-mail saying that they were having a Malabrigo Madness event. Meaning that they had gotten a shipment of Malabrigo Yarns and they would graciously allow us to give them money for it.

I was going to stay away. I was. I have 2 skeins that were a gift to me back when they were selling as HandPaintedYarn.com. They are gorgeous, soft, and have been waiting for the right project for a few years. Not only that, but I have 2 skeins of the laceweight that have just started becoming an Aeolian shawl.

I think I’ve established that I didn’t “need” any new Malabrigo, per se. But I wanted to just… you know.. see it. Maybe touch a little.

You’re afraid for me, just reading this, aren’t you?

Calm yourself, I was a good girl. One and only one skein, purchased with a specific project in mind.  Here it is, already on it’s way to becoming 198 Yards of Heaven.

So I added ( not replaced) this blog to my blog list. I still have Shanknits & will keep it unless you tell me to remove it.

You know I am not into knitting, crocheting, sewing blah blah blah…

That said…that is a really pretty color. And I clicked the link to the Aeolian Shawl & I have to say it was really wuite lovely. So I think you done good woman by only getting the one skein. Congrats on controlling the impulse buy!

You have some serious skills! Love you!
